2015 Semi-Annual Meeting Results

On the night of July 22nd, 2015, the Church of God at Baden had our Semi-Annual Business Meeting. Many things were discussed and voted on. Below are the highlights.

Elections

– Pastor Dale Mester was re-elected as Pastor for another year.
– Cornell Manzy was elected to the board of deacons, filling the seat vacated by Matt Scheer.
– Bill Campbell was elected to the board of deacons, filling the seat vacated by the passing of Paul Finke.

– The Church voted to accept one of the bids to replace the two rooftop HVAC units above the daycare. It is our hope that by replacing 14+ year old systems (one of which is completely broken) the Church will realize some long term energy cost savings.
– The Church voted to get bids and cost to renevate the ladies restroom near the sanctuary. Once we have obtained the cost and scale, we will have a special vote on the project.
– A committee was appointed to open dialogue about the possibility of removing the pews in favor of chairs so that the sanctuary can be used for more than just church services.
– The roof on the Food Pantry was damaged during the recent storms and Rick Mester will be having an adjuster come out to survey it.
